Alright, lets get down and dirty – hey, get your mind out of the gutter and into the raised bed – oh, hang on, that is not much better – ok, get your mind out of the raised bed and into the veggie garden.
I have been obsessed with gardening lately.
I wake up thinking about it and go to sleep thinking about it.
Even when I wake up during the night, I name all the things I have growing in containers in my back yard to get back to sleep, and if I am STILL awake after that, I name off off the herbs I have planted in the front yard – definitely a snore fest after that list.
I keep getting books out about what veggies/herbs/fruit to grow (some that dont even apply to my zone! … out-of-control people!), and am listening to multiple different podcasts about gardening all over the country.
I am probably driving my family bonkers with gardening related mish-mosh that is completely unrelated to Pokemon or Minecraft – therefore, is hovering around the 20% interesting mark to my kids. I just cant get enough, and my brain is so crowded full of helpful gardening and growing tips I am completely overwhelmed with excitement and terror!
So, I decided to bring all of you along with me into the bottomless pit of gardening wonder so that I am not alone down here in this deep, dark, organically composted wonderland.
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to post some resources for beginner gardeners – like me! There is A LOT of info out there, some of which is contradicting but I just try to absorb as much as I can and then average it out, so you will find some info in the resources that contradicts another resource, but just go with what works for you, or try both ways so you can and find out for yourself.
I going to a 4-part series about the best gardening resources for beginners and I will update this post with the links to the post as they come out.
